We are writing this to inform everyone that they should use Brian Ferrick and the tremendous difference between him and the person we first started to work with. He is a miracle worker. My fiancé, at the time, and I went to a local Grand Rapids mortgage company and were pre-approved for a loan. We found a great home and put an offer in with a security deposit. To our delight it was accepted. When we started the loan process after a few weeks we were informed we were not actually qualified for a loan. They said there was no way we could get a loan. This was devastating and unbelievable.

This was going to be our first home and had no idea what to do. So I went online and filled out something. Brian Ferrick called me. He took a look at our situation and said he could help but it would take some time to correct some information on our credit report and to boost my fiancé's credit score. He started at 573 and Brian said we needed to get to 620. He said it would be 60-120 days. Brian worked with our realtor to get the closing date extended so he could get it done. After our first experience we were skeptical. However, Brian informed us of the some laws that could help us. My fiancé needed to remove an old collection for $8000 that wasn't his. No one had been able to remove it. With Brian's help and guidance it was gone in 30 days. In about 75 days Brian had my fiancé's credit up to 639 and we were approved. We closed a couple of weeks later with a great rate under a VA loan.

It seems about once a year I get the itch to investigate new website  solutions specifically designed for the real estate market. A few months ago I was looking for just this thing and did a random google search-'best real estate website.' I came up with a link to Brian Ferrick with Treadstone Mortgage through ActiveRain. My first experience buying a house was very, very bad. I was young, making about $8.25 an hour and got a large loan for a house. I didn't understand everything that I was told (I thought I did at the time), and because the lender said I could afford the payments, AND my realtor said I could afford the payments, I trusted them at their word. It ended in a foreclosure and my total loss of faith in realtors and mortgage lenders.

When my husband and I decided it was time to buy a house we did a lot of research. Not only were we looking for a good realtor, but also whether or not it is worth it to use a mortgage broker. Believe me, I will never buy another house without a mortgage broker!

My husband did some searching and found ERA Network Real Estate. We called and set up an appointment with Tammy Stone. When I talked to her I was pleasant and willing to listen, but I also told her flat out that I had no trust in the system, and the last time I had dealt with a realtor bad things happened to me. I would not be put in that position again. Although I was blunt, Tammy worked with us and slowly built a nice working relationship. She referred us to Treadstone Mortgage, where
I first talked to Brian Ferrick.

Brian called us just to touch base when we really started looking at houses. He acknowledged the fact that I had a bad experience and worked really hard to prove himself. He figured numbers and told us what range we should be looking into before we agreed we wanted a broker. Everytime I had a question, no matter how small, he was prompt with a response. When I was looking through the lender application and other paperwork I called and asked questions, sometimes two or three times a day. Brian always answered, and answered happily. He always let me know what to expect and when, why we needed the things asked of us, and put the lender application and other paperwork for the house in terms that were understandable. He made the tedious loan process go smoothly and even with a bit of humor to lighten the monotony. Brian has a great personality and the ability to make even wary customers like myself comfortable.
